Typing on the laptop is fucking weird. I'm making so many mistakes and instead of hitting shift I keep hitting \ so I either end up with one or like 7 before every word I try and capitalize.

I got a Yuletide Madness fic! And it's Alexander Hamilton/John Laurens! The fic is here and everyone should go read it.

I would be more specific about it's awesomeness but I am far too tired and I have read far too much today. Expect a rec post sometime probably Tuesday or Wednesday with more detailed thoughts about all of the amazing fics that I've read so far.

Saw Sherlock Holmes. It was AWESOME!!

AND there was Iron Man 2 trailer with it!!!!!! :DDDDDD I'm still a little turned on.

And Canada beat Latvia 16-0 today. The new green uniforms look like shit though.

For Christmas, I got a pretty new layout from afteriwake! It's Sam Winchester who eats my brain as of late. *glees* Isn't it pretty?

Day 07 — A photo that makes you happy



This is me and a couple friends when I was doing theater back in high school. We were doing the show Witness for the Prosecution and we all had really small, bit parts, so we would hang out backstage and just talk all night. While not my favorite play we ever did, it was definitely one where we had the most fun out of character.

Day 08 — A photo that makes you angry/sad

I don't actually have any on my computer, but any picture of me with my grandfather when I was a kid makes me sad in a bittersweet sort of way. He passed away when I was a sophomore in high school, so I still miss him a lot.

Mom and I went to go see It's Complicated, which was okay but not amazing. The pot scenes were hilarious and the guy who plays Chuck in Chuck was the absolute best part of the movie. Seriously, I'm going to have to start watching Chuck now. He was fantastically funny.

Oh, the new Robin Hood movie with Russel Crowe looks amazing. I hope it actually is.

Fandom & Pairing Babylon 5 Susan/Talia
Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Talia persuaded Susan to take a shower and change while she made her some tea. She could hear Susan moving around in the bathroom. A smile broke out on the telepath's face. For a brief moment Talia pretended the last ten years never happened. This was just another typical night spent with her lover.

Susan was staring at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were swollen and red from all the crying she had been doing. Susan picked up the brush and ran it through her wet hair. She sighed feeling so lost and alone. Granted Talia was in the next room but that did little to ease the ache she felt inside. She turned off the light and headed out into the living room.

Susan emerging from the bathroom brought Talia back from her day dream. She finished pouring the tea into mugs and joined Susan on the couch.

"Do you feel better?", she handed her a mug. Susan accepted the drink. She tired to smile but it just didn't reach her eyes. "A little." She barely got it out, her throat was dry and scratchy from all the crying.
Talia placed her hand on Susan's shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I'm sure once you get some rest you'll start to feel better. She took a sip of her tea enjoying the hot liquid sliding down her throat.
Susan scooted closer to Talia and rested her head on her shoulder. She felt safe whenever she was with the telepath. Talia automatically wrapped her arm around Susan's shoulder and held her close. Susan relaxed into the embrace. Just being in this woman's presence calmed her. She buried her nose in the telepath's warm neck. She started to place small kisses along her neck.
Talia was enjoying the closeness of Susan. She thought she would never feel Susan in her arms again. The last ten years had been so lonely without her love. She was momentarily startled by the soft kisses on her neck but her body responded automatically as it always did. She pressed closer to Susan, a small moan escaping her lips. "Oh Susan," she purred in her deep alto voice.

Hearing the telepath moan seemed to encourage Susan. She kissed her way to the telepath's lips. Before Talia had a chance to say anything she felt Susan's lips on hers. The touch was electric. She never thought she would feel those lips kissing her again. All rational thought had left her brain replaced with intense desire for the woman next to her. Talia deepened the kiss, slipping her tongue into Susan's mouth. She ran her hands up and down Susan's back. She could feel Susan's hands doing some exploring of their own. When she felt one of her hands sneak underneath her sweater she tried to pull back.
"Susan, wait," she panted against her neck, pulling out of her embrace. Susan whimpered at the loss of contact. Her face was flushed and her eyes were dark with desire. She tried reaching for Talia again but was stopped.

"Susan, sweetie you need to slow down. I don't want you to do something you'll regret later." It was tearing Talia apart inside, she wanted nothing more than to make love with Susan. But she had to think about Susan instead of herself. She knew she was feeling so vulnerable and didn't want to take advantage of that. She had to stop herself before she reached the point where she couldn't.
Susan raised her eyes to meet the telepath's. She was trying so hard not to cry but she was feeling so empty. "Talia please", she grabbed her hands and help them up to her lips. She placed kisses on her knuckles. "I want to feel something besides the emptiness, make me feel Talia, please." She was begging but she didn't care.

The desperation pouring from her voice tugged at Talia's heart. She loved Susan more than anybody or anything. She couldn't refuse such a heartfelt plea. Talia moved back into her embrace bringing her lips crashing against Susan's.

Have I mentioned that I love the bookmarking feature? I'd probably love it even more if I could bookmark a fandom. That would be aces.

A Pre Christmas post:

1. Work has been crazy, but I expected that. And at least crazy makes the time go by faster. I've worked every day this week, which will be good for my bank account but right now is just making my feet and legs hurt. And working so many mornings has left me really tired. I normally have trouble falling asleep the first couple of days that ak isn't here but I've practically been asleep before I actually get in bed the past two nights. I even took a two hour nap yesterday and didn't have a problem falling asleep.

Two of the managers have asked if I've filled out the form to stay on after the holidays, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Wish me luck on having a job after the new year.

2. My mother got here three days ago and has already cleaned the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom and done the laundry. She also got the oil changed in my car, cleaned it out, and found a dry cleaner. And shoveled the driveway. And the back porch and put salt down. I think she has plans to clean my bathroom tomorrow. She doesn't particularly understand the idea of relaxing and there isn't anything for her to do here, so she cleans. Which means it's a little of a disincentive to clean before she gets here (not that we didn't anyway). After she cleans my bathroom, I'm not sure what she's going to do. The house is just not that big. It won't sustain two solid weeks of cleaning.

I guess after Christmas she can work on getting rid of the tree or something. I have no idea.

The cleaning is nice but she always has to have the tv on. And she has to have it on really loudly. It's a problem for me because the last thing that I normally want to do after a day of selling tvs is to come home and watch tv. ak and I normally only turn it on when we want to watch something specific, so the constant noise and flashing colors is irritating.

Oh, I've introduced my mom to vids and facebook and flashmobs in the last 24 hours. She doesn't have a facebook page (yet) and I'm hoping that she doesn't get any more curious because I do not want to have to deal with that.

3. I miss ak. A lot.

4. Podbang story has been posted. It's linked in the last post I wrote. I will know next year not to attempt to do the whole thing in one week, though I am glad that I offered to pinch hit for it. It was an experience and I'll try to stick to a better timetable next year.

Yuletide story is also finished and I'm pondering writing madness stories/treats once the whole prompt list goes live but having my mother here is not conducive to sitting still and writing as she always want to go places and do things. But, hey, I have internet this year, so I can actually read my story on Christmas! Fandom search has given me much to be excited about between now and then.

5. I miss ak a whole lot.
